This position will be situated in Keyworth, Nottingham, at the BGS headquarters.

The IT, Security & Application Development Team, part of the BGS Operations division, has an interesting opening for a motivated early-career Junior Virtualization Engineer.

The maintenance of the BGS virtualization infrastructure, which includes patching, securing, maintaining, and updating an estate of more than 750 virtual servers, will be one of the responsibilities. Both internal personnel and external stakeholders, including several publicly accessible and well-known websites and services, depend on these servers to deliver mission-critical services.

The position holder will collaborate closely with application developers and the DevOps team to make sure that they can create systems in a setting that allows for regular testing while keeping adhering to the standards and guidelines of the BGS IT security regulations.
