An Italy student visa is a long-stay visa (also known as a national or D-visa). It is the Italy visa you must apply for if you want to stay in the country for longer than 90 days. • Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera

• Uniforms should not be worn in your photo, except religious clothing that is worn daily.
• Do not wear a hat or head covering that obscures the hair or hairline unless worn daily for a religious purpose. Your full face must be visible, and the head covering must not cast any shadows on your face.
  Headphones, wireless hands-free devices, or similar items are not acceptable in your photo.
• Eyeglasses are no longer allowed in new visa photos, except in rare circumstances when eyeglasses cannot be removed for medical reasons; e.g., the applicant has recently had ocular surgery and the eyeglasses are necessary to protect the applicant's eyes. A medical statement signed by a medical professional/health practitioner must be provided in these cases.

If the eyeglasses are accepted for medical reasons:

• The frames of the eyeglasses must not cover the eye(s).
• There must not be a glare on eyeglasses obscuring eye(s).
• There must not be shadows or refraction from the eyeglasses that obscure the eye(s).

Bachelor's degree

A first-level degree (at least three years- 6 semesters) awarded by an internationally recognized university-level institution is the minimum requirement in order to apply for the Master's degree in Cognitive Science. You must scan a copy of your degree and upload it to the online application in the dedicated area.

Undergraduate applicants are also accepted, provided that they obtain their Bachelor's degree:

before June 30, 2023, for non-EU students resident abroad
before September 30, 2023  for EU students or non-EU-students permanent residents in Italy

Transcript of records

You must inform the university about the courses you passed in your previous and/or actual degree, providing a list with the name and grade of each course/ exam, and final mark. The transcript must be written or officially translated into English or Italian.

Master’s Degree Language Requirements for Italy

Suppose you’re thinking about taking a master’s program in Italy. In that case, learning Italian before you go could be helpful. The official language of Italy is Italian, and most Master’s programs will require you to have at least a basic level of proficiency to be admitted.
